Details & Policies
Only register those who will actually be working your booth during the trade show as Exhibitor Staff. For those who will only be moving in, setting up, tearing down, and moving out, simply have them check in at the Exhibitor Registration Desk where they will be given a wrist band that they must wear at all times.
You may use your own workers to load and unload your truck, move items in and out with man-powered dollies, and set up and dismantle your booth. However, if you require the use of pallet jacks, forklifts, cherry pickers, or any kind of motorized equipment, then you are required by Market Hall to hire the General Services Contractor, which is GES, to operate that equipment for safety reasons.
If your company’s own employees will be setting up / tearing down your booth, then you do not have to file an Exhibitor Appointed Contractor (EAC) form with the General Services Contractor, which is GES.
As a safety requirement, BOOTHS MAY NOT BE DISMANTLED PRIOR TO THE OFFICIAL CLOSE OF THE SHOW. If an Exhibitor begins dismantling before the Official Show Close, then the Exhibitor will be fined $100 for every 15 minutes prior to the Official Show Close that they begins the dismantling process.
Security will be on-site from move-in until move-out. However, since Metrocon, Inc. allows Exhibitors to contract with vendors of their choice during the Move-out process, it is highly recommended that each Exhibitor have at least one booth representative remain with his or her respective booth at all times during Move-out. Metrocon, Inc. is not responsible for lost, misplaced or stolen items.
All Exhibitor materials must be removed from the facility by Saturday, August 11, 2018 @ 12:00 PM or the Exhibitor will be liable for storage and handling charges resulting from failure to remove their materials from the facility.
